As it should be. It has the system features, it had the more RAM, it has XBL. It has everything.
Its the do everything system, basically what sony tried to paint the PS3 as. It can do everything but stream movies with cinivia
But hey, at least you got a blu-ray player that the masses passed on
But back to the topic. As you may know by now, Sony has been in financial trouble for the last 5 or so years
Losing 6.4 BILLION last year alone. Now launching a new console only makes that loss increase.
Sony is trying to make money so they took away the camera, and took away a few other features they once promised (nothing out of the ordinary from sony there)
But then that story about xbox out shipping PS4 3 to 1
Its already been confirmed that "it appears that is the case" and with sony talking about "launch plans" instead of saying "launch date" then the writing is on the wall. PS4 will not be getting a worldwide release this year. Somebody said that all along, but I will protect the innocent
Now there was a rumor about Xbox having yield issues (proven false) but nobody has talked about PS4 yield issues.
But then why is this being reported then?

Well that answer is simple. Sony is scared of Xbox One. Lets be honest about this for a moment. The Xbox One from a pure system standpoint is a beautiful thing. TV integration the way it works, with your voice I wish I had that right now. I don't need any games. Just give me the box and the TV functionality and I'm good for now. The ps4 doesn't do this so its at a disadvantage already. They currently don't have better games either. So regardless of what a fanboy will tell you, sony isn't blind. They know they got problems. What the average consumer doesn't factor in is how everyone else will feel when they see this when they out in the wild? Xbots will be going crazy over how the system interacts with them. You won't be getting that on PS4. So then what? Xbox becomes more popular from a media perspective. "Look at this new Xbox device and how it works with you" will be the headlines on the news. Then they'll mention the PS4 while quickly going back to how cool the new xbox is
Sony is well aware of this, and so thats why they are holding off on too many PS4's at launch. If this thing turns as ugly as it appears? Having too many PS4's in the wild sitting on shelves like PS3's sat for those first 2yrs?
Well, that would be company suicide. There is nothing outside of fanboy fodder that would imply that things will be differently this gen. Just in case you forgot how it went down?

PS4: WHERE LYING IS MANDATORY!!!Sony's Jack Tretton and the $1200 quote

Jack Tretton, Sony Computer Entertainment America president and CEO, has always been good for some mind-blowing quotes begging to be written down by any journalist within earshot. However, nothing, and we mean nothing, can compare to the latest one in EGM's March issue: "If you can find a PS3 anywhere in North America that's been on shelves for more than five minutes, I'll give you 1200 bucks for it." And every reader collectively gasps.
The guys at Penny Arcade wrapped themselves in the gooey goodness of that quote already and we'd certainly like to point out our photos from January (there's about $24,000 in that photo alone). The reason we're showing January images is becase an editor's note on the EGM piece says the interview took place in early Jan. 2007. Seriously though, even the EGM guys in the same interview say, "But we called 18 random retailers, including Best Buy and EB Games, and half of them had PS3s in stock ... some had as many as 20 in the store." Come on kids, everyone in the pool, Uncle Jack is giving out free money.
