I'm referring to the fake activist Black males on here who either spit vitriol about Black women every other sentence, call all women bytches and hoes, or both, but feign like they give a shyt about how Black women are viewed and how they view themselves. The Black men I know in real life are nothing like these....'men', so don't get it twisted.

I'm just saying you don't have to lie to kick it :yeshrug: Its obvious these men don't like to see a Black woman with a white man and that's why they vilify what is honestly a great show. That's ok, I get it. But they need to stop pretending they are doing all this because they give a shyt about the image of Black women when they spend every other minute trashing it.

Tonight's episode was everything btw :smugdraper:

Whatever floats your boat.

Question to the ladies that watch this show: would it be as popular if the president were black?

Does the fact that Kerry washingtons love interest is a White President play a hugerole in the shows popularity?

It's hard to say. We have a black president and black women love Obama so that would probably not sit well with the black female audience.

I don't think it plays a huge role in the shows popularity tho. Not at all. There's more to like than just their affair.

I actually would prefer if that aspect of the show would go away. It ruins the show for me.

Personally, I never considered his race. If the president's role was a black man, I'd still like the show. I think it's the "Scandal" that draws people in and I would believe that most fans don't care about race either.

As far Kerry's relationship goes with the president, the way it came about is what attracted me to the show. Having caught feelings for someone I shouldn't have and been at a point where it was hard to break lose, I aligned with her character right away. Like "Damn, it's so wrong but feels right". So I basically watch to see how her story will play out. Also outside of their relationship, she has a really interesting job.

0. I honestly don't even think the racial element to the show really became big until some Black men made it an issue. That probably made it even more popular.

Keep in mind this show is not only supported by Black women like y'all think. Not even close.
