Hip Hop is Dead was largely around corporations and labels and less about the South's "takeover" it's what people interpreted as but it wasn't what Nas was talking about in the album.

I can't think of a rapper who has a community of fans on this forum like Nas. I don't see an official up to date Hov thread, or a Drake thread, or even a Kendrick thread. But rain or shine, the Nas thread stays strong. We got some knuckleheads no doubt, but if you want to be fair you have to acknowledge they stick out more because Nas fans are more visible.

Lord knows if we had a Hov thread a bunch of nikkas would be sitting around in it trying to come up with a way re-write history on BP3, MCHG, etc. A Drake thread would probably just be full of emotional cacs taking shots at Kendrick and disrespecting Kanye. A Kanye thread would probably need to be in JBO...
