Sidenote: I ain't gonna lie, I wish I chose Bulbasaur...My professor asked me one time if I wanted a charmander, squirtle or bulbasaur. I wanted the bulbasaur but chose the squirtle.......now it's too late.....

Just caught a Mankey. I'm now rolling with most of the pokemon Ash couldn't make with: Pikachu, Charmeleon, Mankey, and Pidgey. I'm about to see Brock about that gym badge.

this the one Im playing right now brah you get 2 catch all the gen 1 and 2 pokemon (all the starters 2 bulbasaur-charmander-squirtle damn!!!) but the difficulty is crazy al the gyms maxed out 6 on 6 battles from the jump... the starters they make u pick are kinda strange tho magmar-electabuzz-jynx

You can evolve your pokemon without trading?! That alone is worth the download. The added difficulty is good too. I always thought it was lame that Brock was a gym leader but only had two Pokemon. At a minimum, he should have four.

The only problem I have is that they introduce a lot of the exotic Pokemon early in the game. Part of the fun, at least to me, is starting off some basic Pokemon in the beginning then picking up some exotic ones on the way. I watched a video of the Omega version and dude had a Dratini when he was battling Misty.

yeaaaaaaaa they make some of the rarer types kinda common in the wild early.... and thats the realest shyt ever how are u a gym leader with only 2 monsters? its the same shyt in all the games like half the gym leaders only have a handful but sometimes they could be a bytch to get through (whitney in gold, sabrina in red ) thats kinda the reason why I play sporadically... once you pick it up you play the fukking game NONSTOP but unlike the kid version of me Im not gonna train for three hours just to beat a gym leder Im turning that shyt off for months if I get frustrated enough.... but I always come back

Speak for yourself. I logged in 2 hours straight first day I got the rom; 30 minutes alone restarting the game until I got a Charmander with a favorable nature. Plus I've been getting it in everywhere I can: lunch breaks, red lights, toilet. My GIII is like the gameboy I never had.

If I knew all that programming stuff, I'd make it possible to get all three starters, improve gym leaders, and battles more realistic. I would eliminate the AI trainers from using defensive curl until their pokemon faints, especially if I'm using a fire-type. I never understood that.

Shenanigans indeed. I don't like how that battle played out either. His Oddish got hit with two flamethrowers from a Pokemon around its level and the health didn't drop below 50%. I'm not going to get jiggy with this version.
