Shenanigans indeed. I don't like how that battle played out either. His Oddish got hit with two flamethrowers from a Pokemon around its level and the health didn't drop below 50%. I'm not going to get jiggy with this version.

Oddish has high special defense and Rhyhorn has VERY low special attack, plus no STAB bonus so......maaaaaaaaaaaaybe it's possible.

Either way...the paralysis thing still stands, that's not happening, dude must've used save states or something then pieced the video together

Same Type Attack Bonus. An attack will do more damage if it is initiated by a Pokemon of the same type. Like we were discussing, a flamethrower is a fire attack so, it will do more damage from a fire-type pokemon as apposed to any other type of Pokemon.
