I've had the game for week and I'm liking it. First WWE game since 2K19. Universe mode finally doesn't feel like a chore anymore since you can edit the matches on the fly rather than be locked into a specific card.

Unlocked Rock, Umaga, Yokozuna, and Rikshi. Gonna start the Bloodline v Bloodline OG storyline.

This year's installment of WWE 2K23 >>>> WWE 2K22.

-Improvements to GM Mode & Universe
-Creation suite is probably the best it's ever been
-My Rise is better (from the little bit I've played)
-War Games addition as a new match type
-Control system isn't as awkward as last year


I give this game about 7.5 - 8 / 10. I hope that 2K continues to improve on GM and Universe Mode in the future. 2K Showcase was good this year but about the same as last year's. Tbh, I think it's time to swap out Showcase and bring in season mode like THQ used to do with the old Smackdown games.

Yea Showcase mode has absolutely no replay value

Do they still have it where u can play universe as one particular person? If they tweak that properly, that could be dope as hell.

Did they scrap that for 23? I don’t see anyone saying anything bout it.

It's still there. Sandbox mode and superstar mode( one particular person)

This new pinning system is kicking my ass. War Games was sch a much needed addition to the franchise, I've haven't had a bad War Games match yet. It's great but also embarrassing that they finally gave the crowd some damn life in the game, because it never made sense why they made them damn near mute in 2k20 & 2k22. The crowd in 2k18 is loud and active throughout the match, and they brough that atmosphere back for this game. A game with a dead crowd just makes it unenjoyable no matter how good the controls are.
