I felt horrible for Dirty even though the deal he got with Electra was much better. Bobby was fukked up for that. At least talk to him about it.

RZA tried to talk to Dirty years later when he got out of jail and Dirty still went and did the wrong thing signing to Roc-A-Fella when he wasn’t mentally or physically ready and ended up dying.

Damned if you do. Damned if you don’t

Yes it was the better deal, sadly Dirty wasn't here to reap the benefits. I wonder who the masters went to when he passed away?

Finished season 2 and my conclusion is U God is even more expendable.. no personality even with his character. I think they nailed it

Peace, I would disagree because U-God has personality like a muh...lol. He is on the 1st album arguing with Meth in the Killer Tape skit, "Is he..Is he..Is he dead?...Fukk you think!"..Plus, he changes the tone/raspiness of his voice to spit his iconic verse on 'Mystery of Chessboxin'. Him spitting the hook to Investigate Reports on GZA album. The Wutang Drink Champs episode is mostly a U-God comedy hour. 'The Show' documentary him and Meth at it again arguing. Him and Masta Killa being thought of as the bottom of the todem pole doesn't help my case over the years but as Mef said on the 1st album, U-God is like a Psychopathic Thinker!...lol. He was even with Dirty that night at the Grammy's dressed the same in suits. The Wutang 'MTV Cribs' episode, Golden Arms introduced the world to his blowey shirt fetish....lmao. His personality is definitely extroverted, in my opinion.

I really respect this outlook. I have a homie who’s a big fan of his and I always forget I overlook his verse on “chessboxing”.. it’s just hard when you have a group with 4 bonafide stars, 1 genius/rza, and then 9 extremely talented mc’s... there’s always going to be a totem pole unfortunately, and he got the shortened of the stick.

He always used to change beats on songs after they recorded. But now they openly voice how they hate that. For instance, Meth didn't hear that final All I Need beat until he heard the album. He said he didn't even record to that beat, and liked the original one better. BTW - he still hates that song to this day.

I don't blame him :francis:

I appreciate the respect, no doubt. Looking back at mad interviews and magazine pictures, Uey is in most group photos and concerts. At one time, I even thought Uey was Shyheim's older brother or cousin. You are correct, his contribution or personality gets overlooked because it's so many other clan members. Somewhere in an alternate universe, U-God, Deck, Masta Killa are the members that had albums released in RZA's 5 year plan...lol.

I like this version...and it fit the album. I hate the Mary J Blige one and the Razor Sharp Remix for the video.

i never liked the puffy version of this song

the album version i remember ppl coppin the album thinking they were getting the razor sharp version which is the superior one and being upset it was only on the maxi single lol
