Not sure. I think it was just beats. There was almost no home recording back then. They didn't really have a bunch of budget until the Wu Mansion, which is the Forever era.

Some more info on the flood. supposedly he was on the road when the crib flooded which is why the music got destroyed so bad. Decks album was ready to go totally finished. Deck was gonna be on some Spider-Man motif shyt. Similar to Ghosts Ironman. Deck is very colorful with the raps so I can imagine it was dope. Rza said over 150 disks got destroyed full of music.


Crazy. Wutang probably the only group ever where you can argue till the end of time who the best member is. Depending on the song and the lyrics it changes. Ok so I got the last episode left
First of all, I watch both season 1 and season 2 within 2 weeks
and what I gotta say is.... shyt is mad dope and lovee the dude that play ODB

But fukk RZA man.... not the guy playing RZA, even though his voice really got deeper from S1 compared to S2 holy shyt did he just get a serious puberty bump?
But fukk RZA the real Bobby Digi.

This series is too much of RZA trying to use the series to portray himself as super strategic genius.
From talking to himself and getting lost in his mind, man.. fukk outta here with that shyt
First of all when RZA talks to himself it's by far the most boring element of the series.
Secondly you ain't that deep Bobby Digi, stop with the over-representing yourself as an enlightened one.

Nah its accurate because RZA orchestrated them deals, did all the production and brought them together... Of course he gonna prop himself.

RZA has said he spent many of those early years just smoking and eating turkey burgers while crafting those beats so if he was high all the time it would stand that he’s have trouble remembering a lot of the samples and what not. We have to remember this was literally HUNDREDS of beats he lost

Also we know this is something that has effected other songs like The Sun with Ghostface. I remember them saying RZA wasn't really smoking at that time, but decided to get high the night he made that beat and he had no memory of what the sample was so they never got it cleared. That's why it was left off of Bulletproof Wallets, if I'm not mistaken.

Wu was DEFINITELY not 9 generals in the beginning and RZA told them this. He specifically told them that for those first five years he was the one in charge and called the shots.


He should have definitely spoken to Dirty first but its already heavily implied that around this time Dirt was starting to show that he was a loose canon and I can imagine that RZA thought he was doing him a BIG solid by getting him a deal where he’d own his Masters. Thats a deal that NOBODY in their right mind passes up.
