He watched RZA interviews, and been around RZA, which is why he sounds like this now. RZA is damn near impossible to replicate...he was better off using his regular voice, again. The other problem was RZA's commanding presence...and he just doesn't have that either. He looks timid when talkin to them.
Not just that but RZA always came off as energetic as hell and just fun and confident and like a salesman. The way he’s being played is like he’s a really somber quiet super serious dude all the time. Love the show cause that RZA performance is the only one sticking out as bad to me. The rest are killing it.

My fav line of this season so far is ghost saying they letting nikkas skate like they Dorothy Hamill. which is the most ghost line ever uttered by anyone not actually ghost

This was a dope episode though even though that wu reunited violin shyt was heavy handed as hell. Eventually it came together and I stopped rolling my eyes at it. It's like anytime im watching a bond movie and someone in the movie starts playing the bond theme:comeon:

But lol they saved it. IF this episode didn't work then nothing else that followed would work so good on everyone for knocking it out the park

I been doing my best to ignore the "heavy handed" shyt.

I know it's supposed to be like easter eggs for actual Wu heads, but shyt takes you all the way out of the story.

:francis: I was gonna say in the other thread (it's two whole threads murdering this Ashton cat) that the real problem (besides looks) is this cat's voice is too deep

:patrice: then it hit me...... Ashton not mimicking RZA's regular speech at all. He's mimicking the way RZA RAPS.

:jbhmm: not saying that it makes it any better, it's just an observation. Listen to this kid. He delivering all his lines like RZA does when he rhyming.

Rza voice is just impossible to replicate. It’s unpredictable.

I couldn’t even tell you what rza sound like outside of rapping

I think most people know Rza by his rhyming voice or acting voice so I get what he’s trying to do.

It’s like night and day with son from Dope playing the Chef.

He plays such a believable Rae/ dude trying to get out the game and take this rap shyt serious. Doesn’t look like Raekwon but that don’t matter much when you steal every scene you’re in.

he definitely have Rae mannerisms down tho .
