Just caught up on all 4 eps last night.
I'm enjoying the season except for the "voice" of course.
I'm a 80s baby so of course the Wu is part of my young hip hop life, but I never knew about the beginning dynamics of Rae and Ghost or Power and Devine.
Show is well done imo. Looking forward to seeing where it goes.

He doesn't sound like him, but he has the mannerisms and attitude. He grew into the role.

Shameik Moore (Rae), Julian Martinez (Divine), Marcus Callender (Power), TJ Atons (Dirty) are the ones that are spot on for their real life counterparts, Divine & Dirty actually look like theirs and have the voices.

:mindblown:

I been legit thinking this entire time that ODB was played by his son in real life.

Did anybody hear that version of Deep Cover ?..that wasn't the original version

there's two versions of deep cover. the one u heard in the video, and the explicit version, which was in the show. that's the version that was on the actual deep cover soundtrack. they lyrics far more vulgar on the album version.

man, ya'll been frying the cat that plays rza for like 10 pages. I don't remember him getting as much hate in season 1. but I agree, that fukking voice is retarded.
My biggest gripe for the show is the guy who plays Rza. I feel that he's miscast. Maybe it's the way he talks, his height or his very understatement performance but I can't buy that he's Rza.

The actor playing Rza :what: He just wasn’t the best casting decision IMO. And on the breakfast club he said he didn’t listen to Wu:shaq2:

Whoever this is playing RZA cannot act for shyt, he is terrible bruh. :hhh:

:mjlol::mjlol:

The niccas playing Rza:mjlol:

I said that breh was miscast but nobody believed me.

Yeah. I think the Coli done F'd me up.
Now I see the RZA actor and just be like,

:francis:

Thanks The Coli.

:beli:

Why the WZA actor sounds like DMX in this episode?
Here's a few examples.

Enjoying the new season and I like they sped up the narrative a bit.
While the show can be clumsy sometimes in many aspects (acting and dialogue) I like how they are giving the formation of Wu Tang Clan as something truly special. And I also like how grimy they are keeping it. Niqqaz is packing heat, selling weight, getting in shoot outs, getting shot, taking over dope fiends residences. The crack game never had such a real dramatic depiction like this.
Instead of complain about the lead I want to give props to the actors playing Divine and Power. They bringing that street, stand up Dude energy that the Wu give off in real life. I hope they get more work.
I wonder at what point they will end this season. Any guesses?
