I don't know it's even that. I can go back and watch a lot of old shows and stay up late because I know they'll be compelling shows. I can turn on the 2002 survivor series or the 2001 survivor series at 10-11 at night and watch the whole thing because I know it's a well produced card with great matches and top tier commentary where any swerves are good swerves and the match results make sense. Summerslam 2002 is still a show I can watch from start to finish and not get tired. I can watch the whole 2000-2002, and 2004 royal rumble pay per views and sit through them. These cards keep getting more and more bloated with filler and matches that have no long term payoff. The long term effects of wrestlemania should be felt a year or two later still if it's a great show. You know why WM27 sucked? Because the only two matches that had long term ramifications were taker vs triple h (led to their match a year later) and miz vs Cena (led to rock vs cena) and even then only one guy in there was a full time wrestler. One the crowd didn't even like. A year after wrestlemania 28 and 29, none of the matches felt like that had lasting consequences or significance. The same really applies to the last three as well. Punk is gone, bryan got pushed down the card and hurt and de-pushed again, Batista was gone shortly after headlining, Orton still has no direction, rusev and Wyatt and Cesaro are all still in bad shape after the last three years, dean Ambrose has had nothing meaningful at wrestlemania yet (his most significant appearance was the wrestlemania debut of the shield against a team of Randy and big show and sheamus). Rollins has been struggling to find his footing since about a month after his cash in due to horrendous booking. One of the biggest takeaways I got from the podcast punk did in late 2014 was "They have no plans going forward for anyone ever, except for Cena". This applies to Roman now too. There's no long term planning ever. Look at how they rushed the shield triple threat. That should've been the main event last night. Instead we had all forgotten about it less than six months after it happened. It's tough to stay awake when the program isn't one you can get invested in because they have no clue where they're going. This is how you know we getting old.
