:punkcomeon: Showing up every week is a bad thing in the case of Roman, and how great can his matches be when the crowd legit doesn't want him there at all regardless of what he does in the ring? It'd be like if 2004-07 Jeff Jarrett was putting in work in the ring and that was the argument to defend him as the top guy in tna. If rocky maivia was booked as the top face in the wwf and went over everyone all the time while still being rocky maivia, would you honestly try to use his ring work to defend him? Why double down on shyt that's gonna get him JJ heat when we all know they're never going to turn him heel, same as with cena?
WWE will continue to be stubborn and tone deaf with Reigns. People can boo and complain all they want but Vince is going to run his character into the ground regardless.:yeshrug: I don't agree with his direction at all but he's somehow gotten even more hated as John Cena 2.0 than the original John Cena.

Brock is just so fukkin over. He is probably the only person over with every segment of wwe audience. Smarks, kids, adults, dude Bros, nerds, etc.

It's fukkin Brock Lesnar. Ive said that a lot to arguments and my answer is "yeah but it's fukkING BROCK LESNAR..." He is truly on another level of convincing aura...I want him to carry the title for another year to be honest

I don't think anyone on the roster can stop him at this point, after what he did to Goldberg. Especially kicking out of the jackhammer, he's unstoppable, unless...

so who did yall want to retire taker?
Booking wise you have the following logical options
  • Your next new champion
    • Strowman, maybe balor or someone the see as a first champion in 17
  • The next person you want with an undefeated streak
    • Balor, I'm not sure who else fits this profile, has Owens lost?
  • The next supernatural type guy
    • Balor, Wyatt, harper
  • Cena (pretty much his own category)
  • Kane
  • The next person who needs "the rub" from a major win on taker or heel turn
    • Reigns, Strowman, Owens, etc
That said, are any options like what I outlined better than reigns? Not really. Especially since they are doubling down on this guy. I'm actually starting to buy into wwe logic...There is no reason to make him a black hat heel...Roman is already hated more than any heel I've seen outside of Hollywood Hogan and other superheels. All you do by turning him all the way is lose the kids and women who like him and get smarks to cheer him for a month or so until they turn on him again.

My REAL answer is Brock Lesnar at mania XXX or Cena at XXXI but we are past that.

That's the point. Everyone I know who ever was a fan doesn't watch anymore except for two people. The other 12-15 fans? They all stopped watching when the super cena push started. Look at what ratings were in 2005 and what they are now. The list of people who were chased off by that push is an absurdly long one. Of course manufacturing that push yet again for someone who the crowd didn't want as the top guy while going out of their way to sweep punk and bryan to the side from 2011-15 when both of them could have absolutely been the guy is gonna make it even worse. Roman's career in a nutshell is the 2015 royal rumble match. A match with plenty of potential and star power, but management found a way to not only make nobody in the match look better, but found a way to make everyone look worse in some pitiful means of protecting Roman. It makes the product unwatchable. He's already headlined as many times as the rock did before leaving for Hollywood. The guy has been there for just 3.5 years and he's already done everything there is to do and been the most protected wrestler in the history of the company in that timespan.
