North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
I’m surprised NOBODY has picked up on this but..

The media doesn’t want to cover the WNBA. They only do it because they “have” to which is why their content is limited to Caitlin Clark, because that’s pretty much all they know. They don’t have any knowledge about most teams and they don’t even know about the players or Reese and Clark’s teams.

Clark’s teammate from Iowa plays for a team that trying to three peat and she’s gotten more press than Wilson at times.

So the reason why everything concerning Clark is being amplified is because they have nothing else to talk about. They don’t know all the teams and the star players on them. Why? Because they don’t give a shyt and Stephen A/Shannon Sharpe and a bunch of other media personalities have exposed that fact numerous times.

The back half of the WNBA regular season and playoff spills over into the first 2 months of the NFL season. Most of the country won’t give a shyt by then. The WNBA will be competing with the NFL and MLB playoffs. And that’s not including NBA training camp/preseason.

If you watched the video, that isn’t what she said. She said the new interest started from the National Championship game, which is true. If they didn’t play each other in that game, Caitlin wouldn’t be the lead story like she is now and Angel would probably just be another player as well. Angel already had a pretty large social media following, so who really knows?
Yup.

That initial peak was the week of April 2 - April 8. The women's championship was on the 2nd.

Angel really think all these folks is tuning in to watch her throw shyt up at the rim from 2ft away? :laff:

When the WNBA decided not to stream Angel Reese’s debut, one fan in the arena streamed it from their phone to more than half a million viewers.

Reese was selected with the seventh overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky. On May 3, she made her professional debut when the Sky took on the Minnesota Lynx. Unfortunately for anyone not in the arena for the game, that debut couldn’t be watched as the league did not stream the game on WNBA League Pass.

Realizing this, a fan in crowd known as Alli decided to start a live stream on Twitter from her seat. During the game, the stream managed to attract as many as 545,000 viewers. As of Monday, the archived stream has more than 600,000 views.

What the media should be covering but you know why they won't :mjpls:

Good for Aja...but her team has had a shyt load of rest....The Aces have only played 6 gms......It'll be interesting to see if she can maintain these numbers.....There are a lot of players putting up huge stats right now (Collier, Hamby,etc_

Yet Indiana has been involved in all the highest attendance games and actual ratings. There's only one meal ticket in the W right now
nikka, when the media only talks about one person (who’s white) when white people have been STARVING for a dominant athlete to get behind, that’s what happens. It’s so bad for them that they’re actually latching on to women’s basketball because with every other sport…getting spooky

Caitlin isn’t dominant like they thought she’d be, and like the fair weather fans they are, they’ll stop tuning in because they were never real fans of women’s basketball in the first place.

If she gets injured and misses a significant amount of time those people will not show up to the games.

If she keeps struggling and football is back in the news cycle we'll see how much coverage the WNBA gets :sas1:

Looking forward to seeing Cardoso again tonight

I was doubting her a little but she looked excellent out there last game.

Brink and Angel completely get ignored in the post by their teams

Cardoso 6’7 its different, can’t ignore her like that, they got her the ball a lot last game
