I like reds mostly red blends, syrah/shiraz, and sweet reds

I would like to get into more whites maybe a pinot grigio or a riesling so I am open to any suggestions

Out here in my damn drawls
Can i ask you a serious question

What was the point of your post?

Its not even trolling just annoying.

If you have no input why are you tryna to ruin the thread :mindblown:

So you're not keen to 20/20 crowd I see :manny:

Out of respect for the thread, all ll I have in the crib right now is a Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio (light, fruity and easy to drink) and a Blackstone Merlot (:( don't care for the cotton-y after taste, slight berry/vanilla taste). I'm new to wine, so my interests in wine only extends to drinking with food and cooking, not really a standalone wine drinker

I dont like too dry/bitter and not too sweet.. i also like it chilled. I know im not a connoisseur but i like trying everything. i got a groupon for wine tasting the other day, tried a bunch local blends that were awesome. i like Lambrusco; its a sparkling red served chilled, but not too sweet :ahh: great with some red sauce pasta and chicken

@ocmfII is needed in this thread

i'll keep this updated w what i've been drinking

i stocked up on block 917 cabernet because i got a great deal on a case at my local shop in nj. i got it at 12-13 a bottle which is relatively cheap seeing it sometimes sells for 20-30.

also picked up a case of this rose after a very drunken dinner in nyc 2 weeks ago. the liquor store was having a tasting event and the guy convinced me to pick up a bunch because it was on sale (i was not a hard sell in my condition). i don't recall the exact name but it has a big 46 on the label. i've already run thru the bulk of that so i'm going to have to restock on something. waiting for the wolffer to come in locally but i will be out east this coming weekend so maybe i can pick some up there.

i usually always have some pinot noir on deck too but i haven't bought anything in a while. my local spot ran out of flowers and i didn't love anything they had there. i have a few bottles of la crema on hand because my wife loves it but at the price point i consider it good, not great.

my fridge was much better stocked right before i moved out but like i said i have been tearing thru my stuff since i left my apt.

nah never that hun... :smoker:

a couple of my faves off the top are:

Sin Zin - California zinfandel runs about $15. great with steak or red pasta even seafood.

El Potillo Argentine Malbec - runs about $8. you can't beat that beautiful deep purple color you get from the malbec grape... :ohlawd: sharp fruity stong tannins. great wine.

i'll try to compile a better list later when i have more time. :drunk:

Damn I love some good wine (lived in Italy for a year and a half :smugbiden: ... in France right now :youngsabo:) but I almost always forget their names :manny:

Def try to grab some Verdicchio and some Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, some Rosso Conero or some Lacrima di Morro d'Alba...:ohhh:

Was in Lisbon two weeks ago and their wines are underrated :leon:
