What a depressing ass finale. Good fukkin luck Baltimore.

Great mini series. Only issue was the consent decree lawyer. She was too old and too black to have an epiphany about the system being fukked.

Her scenes going "the police did what?! :gladbron:" in the back half of the series annoyed tf out of me. Should have gotten a frail white girl to play her if that's all she really did.

But Sean's character....whew, the moment *that* happened, I started to think about this characters decision making but then we're immediately reminded that this actually happened......:wow:

God, that epilogue crawl near the end of the episode was depressing as hell.

Only halfway decent police commissioner Baltimore’s had in 30 years who’s willing to make changes? Fired.

His replacement? From the rotten edge of the force, fired.

Inept mayor? Resigned in disgrace, in prison.

Baltimore can’t be saved man. Ra’s al Ghul’s gonna destroy it when he’s done with Gotham.

Not to mention one of the mayors they had before that was fired for stealing gift cards that were supposed to be given to the less fortunate :what:

he was dirty the second he didn't say shyt about what Wayne & the GTTF were doing

cops can't be playing like their good when they keep their mouths shut about dirty cops

Being a cop is like being in the mob, once you in there isn't supposed to be any snitching. You dir or retire, there is no other way out and you NEVER snitch on another officer...well until you're caught because every cop is gonna tell just like they said.

That's why Jenkins was shocked when they told because he swore nobody was gonna talk and the irony of this all is that Suiter talking didn't mean a damn thing and if he offed himself or was killed it was all for nothing. He could have walked in there and said "I don't recall" and not a damn thing would have happened, fukked up how Jenkins used his ass though.

Great series will prob watch again from beginning now that I know who everybody is and what their purpose is. fukkin with David Simon I know I missed shyt and it'll be like a 1st watch.
This series has cooled me on Jamie Hector tho! The Marlo character is iconic...but nah bruh. This wasn't it.
They coulda switch roles with him and Poot and the show loses NOTHING. I feel like a hater saying this but I was rooting for dude to give a good performance. I was watching thinking all the ways Michael K. coulda emoted all the tension and anxiety Suiter was feeling. Marlo looked like he couldn't find the pen that he had just a minute ago SMH. RIP Michael K Williams. I'm sure this was your role had you still been alive. This was a role that shoulda garnered Emmy consideration along with Bernthal. Jamie was kinda just there.

the same can be said of many other big cities in the US. I don't think baltimore is the only example of this type of rampant corruption and fukkery.

I see they setting it up for Suiter to "commit suicide" which I believe is the official story on record. After reading that he was set to testify, I'm sure it was a hit. :francis:

Also, I'm not feeling Marlo in this role. I never seen Bosch but keeping it 100......Jamie Hector aint that great an actor. I have no clue what emotion he's supposed to be feeling most of the time. 1 ep left and I don't know this nikka at all. I think Michael K if he was still alive woulda done better. And not for nothin....summa y'all might laugh....but I think JD Williams (Bodie) coulda pulled that role off better too.

No shot. Absolutely none. I never thought JD Williams had much range as a actor, though he was good as Bodie. Just because an actor chooses to be more subtle doesn't mean they can't act. Hector showed slightly more emotion as a cop in Bosch, but he was mostly the same way.

Simon gave just enough info for Suiter's background. We know Suiter was dedicated to the job and trying to be natural police by how he solved that homicide and refused to take the money from Jenkins (and also moved away from Jenkins's crew into homicide).

I don't know whether Suiter killed himself or not. Both theories (homicide by cop or suicide) about his death make sense. I'll wait to watch the doc before I come to a conclusion.
