The recurring theme I get from all this Baltimore shows is that the people are resign to their fates. Like Gondo and Rayham knew the feds we’re watching them and their reaction was like fukk it, we in deep let’s just enjoy this while we can and when it ends it ends. Some would have tried to save their skins in anyway they could but they was like fukk it… it’s keep banging

like an old ball player...I'mma keep getting these checks til no team wants to sign me:wow:

came in to say this basically...for all the good work that some are trying to do at different points, they're usually slowed if not stopped completely due to individual actors looking out for their own career gain or bureaucracy that doesn't reward any substantial change of the system.

And this is the reason why the city is so fukked up prime example the Brandon Scott and Larry hogan beef these 2 dumb mofo can’t come together and try to come up with a public safety plan because of politics

That was ill and eye opening. It's like capitalism/society in general just pushes the idea that living lavish at any and all cost is worth it. And they know they will suffer later because of it. But I guess they count on reminiscing about better days will get them thru jail and disgrace. Crazy.
When Gondo went to the police department for the last time and he had the silk shirt and Louie belt. It was like illustrating despite being a cop I got to be fly. Fly while on the job to. Society is kinda past the point of no return when this is how law enforcement thinks.

That was them reliving his whole "we didn't give a fukk...shyt we parked in the lieutenant spot, nobody was gonna say shyt to us".

They got to the point where they thought they were untouchable and if not for some very stupid decisions they would have kept going. That safe shyt really fukked them over and I hope they tell the whole story on how it was found out that stole some of that money.

The Suiter shyt is way crazier than they are actually going to show I think. I know this whole story in and out and I feel like they're going to leave very important things outs, this last episode gotta be longer than 60 minutes

It just went absolutely nowhere, and as such it felt pointless

I get that. But I also understand that it couldn't have a point.

It was about the circumstances and aftermath of Katrina, which still isn't "solved" so it was mostly about the lives of the people left to rebuild their lives after the disaster.

That's kinda the point of most of Simon and Pelacanos shyt. They pick a broken system and show the lives of the people who have to live in it and deal with it.

Yeah, Vic was secretly an "anti-hero" to many people :snoop:.
Where Wayne Jenkins is just a charismatic piece of garbage, who also happens to be hilarious :myman:
disturbing

but just going off what people were saying... The Shield was the most realistic depiction of cops in TV history.

not surprising the cops in this (based on a true story like the shield were based on rampart) remind me the most of the cops in that show.

Still feel like Shield doesn't get enough love. Super underrated. I think it was just too early, it came before prestige tv and anti-hero protag shyt really took off a few years later (once sopranos was done done).
