Great show ..based on real events..I never heard of the real story before..it's a mini series..the last episode is next week. It's from the people behind the corner and the wire..a lot of the same actors in surprisingly different roles..I'd suggest catching up... you have almost a week..then watch the finale with the rest of us lol

No Whammies!!
I cannot reiterate this enough, but these dudes are the scumbags of scumbags. I don't think cops have ever been portrayed like this on TV. and I'm sure this is only the tip of the iceberg as this likely goes on in every major city.

I believe they're doing a better job than "The Sheild".

I always felt that The Shield was secretly trying to say "we NEED cops like these, that get things done because they don't play by the rules!"
I like the way this show makes it clear that this Task Force will even rob from each other if they can get away with it. :yeshrug:

The creator of shield said he would get cops all the time and say they knew a guy just like Vic in our department. This things go on everywhere on a massive scale. The greedy/goofies just get thrown to the wolves every once in a while and then you get this.

Yeah, Vic was secretly an "anti-hero" to many people :snoop:.
Where Wayne Jenkins is just a charismatic piece of garbage, who also happens to be hilarious :myman:

I agree with you on this, mostly.

Even in the scenes where he's trying to get people to give him information, the scene is supposed to play out like "they ain't talking to him because they don't talk to police" but because of Jamie's hard to read style of acting (or being) it feels more like "they ain't talking to him because this police officer's vibe is off"

He probably would have been better being one of the crooked officers in GTTF with Jenkins.
I think they watched the scene where Suiter is watching the news when Wayne and crew are getting arrested and was like "Yo...we need to add in some flashbacks where this nikka took some money or planted evidence to remind the audience why he's "tripping" right now. All this dry ass nikka did was slightly widen his eyes".

Even with the flashbacks I couldn't tell if he felt guilty for being a part of it or nervous that he could be implicated in some of it. I know it could be both, but he's so hard to read as an actor.

There where parts of the shield where they where doing cartoonishly evil shyt where as with this show you see more of an emphasis on a shytty system that allowed and embraced this kind of behavior.

Thank goodness for this show it’s just show’s how one part of the city government is corrupt but the whole damn city government need to be under federal review

came in to say this basically...for all the good work that some are trying to do at different points, they're usually slowed if not stopped completely due to individual actors looking out for their own career gain or bureaucracy that doesn't reward any substantial change of the system.
