That scene where his superiors bring Jenkins in on that BS he pulled with the cats drinking on their own stoop was GOLD.
They had him shook when they said it could affect his job. He was legitimately considering changing his ways when it came to how he was policing, especially civilians. But instead of scaring him into becoming
a better police
officer, they scared him into writing “better” reports to cover his and the department’s ass. The PD is rotten to the core. They have the ability to dramatically improve policing, but would rather focus on dodging accountability. At all levels. Excellent scene.
And I get The Wire comparisons given setting and cast, but this feels like a completely different show. The pacing is way different on this.
