The leftovers is incredible. International assassin is one of the greatest singular episodes of television in history. Right up there with episodes like ozymandias from breaking bad, long cut true detective episode, etc.

Yup. 100%. S2 and S3 are both better than S1 but the first season is still great.

Quite honestly, The Leftovers probably IS my show of the decade. That spot had been reserved for GOT until it got botched.

I even named my daughter Evie and we are trying to get pregnant again and if we have another girl we have already picked Nora

i liked leftovers season 1 but seasons 2 and 3 shyt all over it to be honest. they were THAT good. to me, the show just kept getting better and better. definitely goat-tier in my book.

and that finale... talk about sticking the landing.

one of, if not, the best endings of a show i've ever seen.

Reading this thread, I'm about a week behind on it, is amazing... I'm caught up on the show and just reading 2 weeks ago's posts..

Every week is like this though... People just KNOW what is going on.. Then the next episode is like "Nah.... You don't know shyt homie" People thinking Dr. had shyt to do with that car.... NOPE.. People thinking the old man was crippled but had powers.... NOPE... People thinking his friend in high places was the Dr... NOPE... We can't even figure out when or where Veidt is right now.... I love it.. None of that cookie cutter bullshyt predictability..

Do yourself a favor though... GO BACK AND REWATCH... I swear I saw it straight through and was confused at some stuff.. But when you know more, and go back and watch, they were showing you everything from jump. It all makes sense. I think the sheriff was in on it because of this.. He willingly went to die and knew it was coming. Somethings he said in the first ep tells you that.


I did see a great theory on Veidt though. We're watching him 7 years ago. Every candle is a new year.. He disappears in 2012 and it's now 2019.. So we've been watching him since 2012, 3 years now.. He'll join the show's character at the 7 year mark (2019) and everything will be explained. Also, Dr. Manhattan was destroying a building that looked like Veidt's. Except he was on Mars.. So the theory is the asian is hiding him, Dr. Manhattan will break him out soon. That's what we are seeing in the Dr. Manhattan footage on TV
