Given the Vietnam flashback of her daughter, which implies Trieu has had a traumatic experience in the war (courtesy of the US) and Will's traumatic experience as a boy in the Tulsa massacre, I wouldn't be surprised if the two are banding together to bring down (white) America.
I think that’s one of the reasons Will kept that letter from the Germans to the black soldiers about America.

Lindeof suggested Coogler as a replacement if he doesn't return for Season 2
Damon Lindelof Might Not Return for 'Watchmen' Season 2 (If There is a Season 2)

I’d feel more confident going forward if that’s the case...season 1 has been pretty good so far but I’m still slightly concerned about this becoming ‘lost’ status and becoming too convoluted a story just for the sake of unnecessarily mindfukking the audience...I don’t mind a complex story but not @ the expense of a good story in order to appear “complex”

Exactly. I'm getting Lost vibes all throughout this show. I love some things but he making shyt too crazy and seems like he never gonna explain any of it. If he does step down who is gonna unmindfukk all this crazy shyt he put on screen. I applaud the attempt but he needs to tighten this shyt up or at least give us more of a backstory.

Yeah, this shyt is slipping into Lost territory by the ep. I'm just not a huge fan of trying to get the viewer to be like, "What was that?!" as many times as possible. Dude overdoes it.
I'm a huge Watchmen fan so I will continue to watch but I'm done listening to podcasts/watching vlogs and researching shyt to try and make it make sense. If it ain't on the screen I don't care about it. :yeshrug:

to be fair it’s been relatively easy for me to follow along...anything I was unsure about was quickly cleared up by reading a comment or two in here after an episode...and so far the show has cleared up some of the earlier mysteries...my concern is more so based on his track record than what has actually transpired on the show...I’m worried the more seasons we get from him the more likely it will stray into “lost” territory...so the idea of having coogler potentially take over season 2 is exciting...but to date I don’t have any issue w/ season 1 so far

perfect casting for this characters long winded diatribes about all of the malignancies of our society :salute:
That nikka HAD to have spent years on the corner, chopping it up with the old folks on the block... Dude's whole aura, regular speaking voice and slang, are just EXACTLY like every single shyt talking street elder I ever met

All the casuals in here who never saw The Leftovers :hhh:

Lindeloff and HBO can't miss like hov and just blaze
To act like that show was highly praised or had a large following isn't accurate. It is part of the drama drought HBO experienced recently.
