I think thats a TV version of the character.

However, remember it opened with the little boy watching Bass Reeves take off the hood. So its possible he was part of the original minutemen. Just blended in years ago.

Obviously stretching this theory, but figured out ways to blend in/cover his eyes better than the TV version.

I see. I checked reddit and they were saying that it's what Hollis Mason assumed in his book but nothing concrete. Who knows....we'll find out soon enough.

finally watched it. i am not very familiar with the watchmen storyline, so i cant really rely on that to help me understand this stuff at all. it is a weird ass show but intriguing. i will stick with it but i need this to start making some sense pretty quickly.

I didn't notice on first watch that the new American flag has a lot more than 50 stars on it but in the trailer park the cavalry has the "original" flag so another point where they mirror the alt right they are against adding new states like the alt right are very anti immigrant and it also mirrors that these idiots in the real world will still parade around the confederate flag because things were "better" in those days.....
