finally watched it. i am not very familiar with the watchmen storyline, so i cant really rely on that to help me understand this stuff at all. it is a weird ass show but intriguing. i will stick with it but i need this to start making some sense pretty quickly.

"Lindelof's take is set in an alternate history where "superheroes" are treated as outlaws. Watchmen embraces the nostalgia of the original trailblazing graphic novel while attempting to break ground of its own."

That's from an article on what the shows about.

I think thats a TV version of the character.

However, remember it opened with the little boy watching Bass Reeves take off the hood. So its possible he was part of the original minutemen. Just blended in years ago.

Obviously stretching this theory, but figured out ways to blend in/cover his eyes better than the TV version.

Go back and read the novel, comics and then watch the movie. It is one of the most true movies to comics I’ve ever seen and I’ve been reading a long ass time

Could be multiple hooded justices, although with how old homeboy is it would lineup with the original minute men I think
Just realized something else...

You know how Bass Reeves was the inspiration for The Lone Ranger. Yet, Hollywood used a white guy.

Its the same thing going on. White guy playing the tv version, but the real hero was black :ohhh:

Am I the only one not surprised those white supremacist are using Rorschach as a symbol/hero for their hate?

An antihero whose recluse, revenged filled and doesn't take no for answer. We've seen it before with Punisher.

Yeah the Punisher symbol is actually used by alt right groups in the real world..

Just saw the first episode last night and WOW. They actually showed the massacre of Black Wall Street.:whoo: I wasn't ready. It looks like they taking the book approach to this instead of the movie especially with the raining squids. I love this alternative history depiction but still being grounded in US history. I'm pretty sure the little boy in the beginning is Hooded Justice and some fukkery is going on where they trying to depict him as being white. I forgot about the Bass Reeves fukkery Hollywood did with the Lone Ranger too. Everyone here knows I hate Lindeloff for what he did with Lost but I might just forgive him if he pulls this shyt off. Amazing 1st episode
