Critics or the ones so many whine about typically don’t like comic book movies.

There is no agenda or agenda against non Marvel movies

It’s not about towing a Marvel line or whatever other excuse.

Stop worrying about what these “old white Men who are old enough to be the dads of many of you 30 & up brehs or other cats grandparents” thoughts and opinions on these movies.

These are the same people (critics) that shyt on all black movies or any movie that’s not a dry “all white casted period piece drama” about some old historical white man. A movie that like made $30K in the box office and only like 75 thousand people in the world seen.

Y’all know what is it but it’s like y’all still holding on to hope ot expectations that it’s gonna change

Critics were too harsh but this is a pretty average ho hum film. It showed flashes of brilliance but was held back by something. I do agree with whoever said this feels like an early 2000s marvel film.

Nobody is expecting universal praise, just a fair assessment of the film without your personal baggage coming in. If someone genuinely didn't like it, no smoke. If they think it's the best superhero flick in years, it's whatever.

At the end of the day, the I never cared for a stand alone Venom movie without Spiderman.

The trailer wasn't good enough for me to be interested.

So I simply didn't go see it and probably won't even download it.

Im done paying to see movies just so I can give an opinion or because everyone is talking about it.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion whatever but there was "critics" out here tryna get people to not go see it saying shyt like "don't waste your time it's worse than Catwoman" so that tells u all u need to know about their bytchassness

Saw the movie yesterday. It was all right. They should've just went all out and gave it an R-rating. This movie could've been something special. But as it is, it's too soft to stand out as anything truly unique. I mean, if you're gonna make a movie about an alien anti-hero that bites people's heads off then you might as well take it to the limit. The times when Venom does eat someone it happens so quick that you can literally blink and miss it. It's not a Spider-Man movie, so no need to play it safe.

Solid C movie. cheap mindless popcorn flick with some high points. Would have been unwatchable without Tom hardy. Actually enjoyed watching a stand alone without having a overhanging universe arch. Movie would have been ok except they used the one character who’s existence is based off another character and that’s unforgivable. Could have made a similar movie about Moon knight or cloak and dagger or night crawler, enrigon, Constantine, swamp thing , so many characters . Not venom , can’t say it was unenjoyable tho

I really do think people/fans are spoilt with so much tv series and franchise flicks with megatons of budget to fathom, then along comes Venom and it seems pretty average and weak in places regarding its simplicity?

Venom brought back the less over the top crap (not all in places) we see in plenty in comic films.
