a lot of the time the disappointment of the loss has fighters not wanting to latch on to such excuses in order to save some face. His reply wasn't definitive he said "not that I know of" like I have to watch the fight to tell you for sure. That's all heartbroken fans need to go off

When asked if he felt a head butt, Gus said no he didn't feel one.

Young Rampage had a inhuman gas tank and was suplexing the fukk out of people. But he could never cut the ring off like Rumble does.

Anyway, this nikka Rumble has developed the perfect fighting style for his body. He has a pinball head and he tucks that shyt into his chest, it gives you a really small target to hit. He built the muscle up around his neck so even if you do land a punch there wont be much shock trauma. He plants his feet into every punch and when he does it, he guards with his free arm and his arms are freaking huge. I've never seen somone with a brawler style like that who's so difficult to hit.

Then this nikka got the NERVE, THE fukkING AUDACITY! TO ADD WELL TIMED KICKS TO THAT shyt!!
All that stuff sounds so simple but its rare to see a MMArtist who can put it all together like that..

Dude lookin like a black, non roided up Dave Bautista out here :blessed:

Whether he beats Jones or not, he's gonna be top 2 LHW for a looooong time

exactly, Rumble came out as a striker under Cung Lee - if you watch is older film you could see cung lee rubbing off on him. I thought he would be really good at the lighter weights with the striking attack...but his ground game was ehhh. So to your point, his flexibilty, quickness, striking was always there - but when he added that muscle to his frame and especially around his neck. Like he took Alex's shots and was walking through them to land his shots. It was incredible - JBJ was allowing Alex to get off and wasn't going for the kill and his patience was the reason Alex looked so good. However, if Rumble comes head hunting for JBJ he's going to get hurt - if JBJ doesn't get cocky and try to battle him.

Rampage obviously was the opposite of that - a power tank

not sure if anyone sees how quick this counter was, look at when he "lands" the kick and how Rumble reacts and literally hauls back and hits him solidly before he could put his guard up. So beautiful, when the analyst are all wrong - screaming how Alex was faster and quicker.

Rumble said he knew what was coming.

He heard Alex's corner ask for the kick so he was ready for the counter

I understand what you're saying. But, I just don't see any of the fighters you mentioned (except maybe Chael) who would talk shyt to an fighter right after a brutal loss.

When talking shyt you build animosity, it wasn't just one comment from gus, shyt been brewing for a while, so gus was fair game

cormier was fair game, cormier talk trash to everybody he's fought except for dan Henderson
