We knew the first fight was an anomaly, justice is served great fukin win. As for mousasi where he goes from here will say a lot about what he's made of. That's a debilitating loss that can hunt a fighter the rest of their career

Hes just like Machida in terms of inactivity and looking to counter except no footwork and pop in his strikes. Slowly slipping into gatekeeper status

About even striking. Same with conditioning. Can Jacare get Weidman down? Doubt it But will Weidman try to TD Jacare? IDK. Very intriguing fight

Their skill sets are pretty even across the board. I think the fight primarily stays standing, and from there, either fighter can take it (Jacare's speed and athleticism vs. Weidman's range and control of the pace and octagon). I give the edge to Weidman, but Jacare can def. pull off the upset.

I can actually see Weidman finding a way to get sub'd because he'll go into that fight over aggressively playing with fire wanting to "prove he can grapple with Jacare" like he "proved he could strike with Anderson"

Although Weidman has a very good ground game (BJJ included), I could see this happening. Jacare can sub anyone. As evidenced by this fight, Mousasi is very slick on the ground.

yup, was never sold on dude ever. Time go bury that faux fedor routine homie, that lackadaisical demeanour was fine when the Ws were coming but now he's being exposed left and right it's looking like a sign of laziness or someone who is unmotivated

What's with Overeem's two terribly telegraphed shots for a takedown, the second shot he ate a huge upercut and that was pretty much the beginning of the end for him. He was winning the stand up before those TD attempts.

Rothwell broke his arm blocking a kick, but still dropped Overeem with the broken arm:russ:

shyt is sad. I knew it was over when Rothwell caught him with that uppercut some time before the finish

If I was Dana I wouldn't know wtf to do with Reem. He's got a name but the thing about HW is even the cans have enough power to KO you. If he get's another chance they have to be real careful with the matchmaking. maybe they can re-animate the corpse of a nogiera brother and hopefully he doesn't have enough power to lean Overeem when he touches that chin.

Oh yeah, that's what got him caught. Dude had terrible form on that TD attempt IIRC. Didn't change levels or nothing, he just tried to bend down and grab that nikka's waist :mjlol:

:whoa: Mousasi is still a very good fighter.

Don't get me wrong, hes I'm not going to overreacting, full blown hes overrated mode. But MW is a murderers row at the top right now and hes the odd man out. He reminds me of a 185 BJ Penn where things came natural to him but he never expounded upon them or worked hard to change his weaknesses. And its evident by his frequent camp changes and just going around doing whatever he wants
