You sound ignorant. Its all about styles. Jones is a wrestler that learned how to strike. Mayweather could not last in MMA because hes so late in learning how to grapple. Its hard to master disciplines of striking, ground game and striking/grappling defense and put them all together into being a complete fighter. You gotta show these guys more respect. Step away from your bias towards MMA and realize that. Gus is an amateur boxing Champion, so i think saying he has little experience, is unfair to Jones, and Gus. Jones brother was heavy into wrestling before Football and my understanding is that hes still nice with it which is probably why jones is sayin that. Jones will never face Mike Tyson with Olympic level wrestling and Gracie black belt level Jiujitsu so you're always going to have something to complain about when it comes to MMA. Your dream fighter doesnt really exist.

Jon jones literally fights like a bytch, he looked like Shanana they way he was trying to get away from those punches
He was physical stronger than his opponents point blank period, thats why he dominated, he just manhandled them
he looked like he wanted to cry in his corner sometimes, and Gus is not very crisp with his boxing, he was amateur champion in Sweeden, not the UK
or the States if he was better puncher Gus would've knocked Jones out

If mayweather trained with Phil Davis he would dominate MMA be serious, anyway he's damn near 40,
take a young guy like Victor Ortiz or Canelo, they could learn take down defense from Phil Davis just as quick Gus who was terrible at take downs, yet the most dominate nikka in the division couldn't take him down for shyt Seth Mitchell and all those other HWs who ain't shyt, should call Phil Davis and get some training, they would be smashing nikkaz in this shyt
Phil Davis already the goat wrestling coach

I like MMA because I see the potential of what it can be, but man Jon Jones is a shame, and I believed in him
I can see me threads saying he could take the HWs, I was wrong like a motherfukka, Roy Nelson would give his ass the work

This may be post fight emotions talking but it's strange how once bones fights someone his size he's taken down for the first time and by a guy who isn't known for his wrestling. I may even rank Cain higher now pound for pound just based off what he was able to do vs Brock,Junior, rothwell, and Bigfoot. All guys bigger than him(or the same size in the case of junior) and still dominated

I came into this trade to say the same thing. Been sayin it from time about Jones, he's been so dominate because of his height advantage clearly. You can't knock out sum1 that you cant even reach. Gus, is not a top tiered fighter, does not have the resume of Bones or anything, but he had the height jus that alone caused so much problems for Bones.

I said it b4 and i caught a lot of flak for it here, but seeing this fight is really wanting me to see, Bones if/when he moves up to HW fight Struve (if he ever fights again). The size and power of Struve and the BJJ incase he gets taken down will just be a great match up against Bones.

:childplease: How about we give credit to Gus being a bad motherfukker breh. I thought he was going to get handled and he was able to make Bones look way ordinary tonight. Jones would still be way faster and more athletic than the HW's he would fight, besides Cain, most HW don't have the head movement or the jabs that Gus has. Jones still young as fukk and is still developing and learning which is even scarier.

yea, a lot of boxing/kickboxing dudes in there...i have never seen a judge who actually had some MMA experience in the past, whether its fighting or refeering..if you look at boxing judges, almost all of them are highly knowledgeable in boxing

MMA as an official sport is sooo young that its nearly impossible to have 100% fully qualified judges with MMA experience. We're now starting to see the old guard of MMA/UFC/Pride vets retire, and most of em that have retired are either opening up their own gyms or sitting back caking off the money they won. None of them are lining up to take judge testing and mk a couple g's a fight.

I think they said for the Mayweather/Canelo fight the judges got paid $8k each, so if thats for a mega boxing event, which brings in more than ufc events, how much u think cecil peoples gettin to sleep thru ufc on fox fights? im guessin barely anything more than a free hotel stay and continental breakfast.

I knew something was up with Jones by the awkward way he was walking out of the octagon. The stretcher was probably just a precaution but when the video of it goes viral it won't matter, it's a bad look for Bones regardless of the win.
:russ: His head is leaking and his leg is probably injured. O and he just fought 5 rounds with a good competitor, and won. Its a good look. The champ came out on top once again.
