No lie, that was a fukking awesome fight. Gus brought it to Jones like no one else could, but in the end his conditioning came back to bite him in the ass.

Disagree with the 49-46 score, but I fully agree that Jones won. He had to earn it, but he got it done. He had a much better finish than Gus, thus JBJ kept his belt.

Would not mind seeing a rematch, brehs.

Gus was walking around like drunk man in the 4th and 5th round. Jones could had easily KO'ed him in both those rounds.

Gus didn't even compete in the last 2 rounds. In round 3, Gus ran around the ring the whole round.

But he didn't so whats your point? And Gus was still attacking late despite being gassed. And ran around the ring? That was Gus best round. What the hell were you watching?

That huge spinning elbow in the 4th was the deciding factor. Gus was on his way to a clear victory before that.

Please Dana, do we really need to see the Glover fight immediately? We need a rematch asap.

It's not great, though none of his opponents before Gus have been able to exploit it.

Gus deserves mad props, gave Jones a hell of a fight and showed real heart

I went into the fourth round knowing those two would be the "CHAMPIONship rounds" cause Jones was.down 2-1... he won them both

Jones ain't a real fighter, shows you just how much of sham MMA is that this guy could come in be champ and dominate
he is decent athlete who went up against terrible athletes, Gus had very little boxing skill and was picking him apart
he did get hurt by some kicks, but he really ran out of gas at the end of the fight

I always wondered why a pro fighter like Jones said his brother a pro football player could beat him in a fight
man, jon's gonna fukk around and get KO's when he faces a guy with solid boxing

I had Gus winning the first 3, but the judges lately don't want to let the challenger win these close fights against the champion it seems, they seem shook and unsure of there decisions that they might fukk up. But, we need a rematch ASAP. They both are stars and bigger now than before. One of the best title fights I have ever seen easily.

His boxing has always been trash to me. His best weapons are his elbows which is how he hurt Gus in the 4th had he kept throwing them he could've stopped Gus but went for the takedown.

True he would get slumped in the heavies, at least this will refocus him and hopefully make him an even better fighter

"it's not how you start, it's how you finish" was the story of that fight, Jones got the benefit of making Gus wobble the last 2 rounds.

Thats what so confusing about the unified rules. Does the late elbows negate everything earlier in the fourth? Does the head kicks and TD late in the 5th negate all the stuffed takedowns and striking in early rounds? Might as well just have pride rules where what you do in later rounds matters the most

gust is clearly a good boxer, not pro boxer level but you saw his throws which looked quick and crisp

the most concerning thing was jones inability to take him down, im sure they'll work on that for the rematch
