The beginning and ending were comically bad. The film didnt really catch legs until Digital Underground performed.

They absolutely murked Pac's jewelry and fashion sense. And Shipp did a pretty good job once Pac created "Brenda's Got A Baby". That's where he found his groove in this role with the apex being the HOB performance of "Ambitionz of a Ryda".

He was very Pac-like in that moment. That and when he led the initial charge to get at Orlando in the casino.

The voice over for Snoop is such a dumb and unnecessary distraction. What the fukk were thinking?

Suge was pretty bland too.

This is a hard story to tell in a feature film setting...I'd be down to see Shipp do it again in a Netflix mini series.

it wasn't a voice over, dude really did his voice! :blessed:

Uh Oh! Tupac’s Estate Allegedly Compares ‘All Eyez On Me’ To Lifetime’s Aaliyah Biopic

  • fameolous__Tupac's family cannot speak on the 'All eyez on me' or his estate due to contract so I will. Tupac family isn't happy with the movie and before Tupac's mother passed she wanted @johnsingleton to produce the film, not LT Hutton. John had a better script from the receipts I have. In particular, John was going to tell the untold story about Left Eye and Tupac relationship that a lot of people don't know about. The story about John having a rape scene isn't true! The film was rushed and they only spent around 48 days on the entire movie. You may have noticed Tupac's estate who runs his Instagram account @2pac has yet to promote the movie @50centis not hating when he says the movie is not put together correctly.... he just knows the public has been played by this producer who put out the film despite many people disagreeing. As a director of movies and hit show series... 50cent respectfully has a duty to give you the real. The truth is most of the people promoting the movie 2Pac didn't even like or was beefing with before his death. This version of the movie originally was suppose to be the "next Aaliyah movie" & we all know how that played out. John Singleton script is the real movie and the one Tupac's mother wanted for her son legacy. I never met John or ever spoken to him I'm just giving y'all the real tea as always. Although Demetrius Shipp Jr was a great actor in this film... he wasn't the first choice despite the lies that were told on The Breakfast Club by LT. In fact, In 2015 actor (@MarccRose ) who played Tupac at the end of the Compton movie was the person who they wanted to play in 'All Eyez On Me'. (Those Receipts are available as well (text messages). However, Marc decided he didn't want to do it. MarccRose walked away because John Singleton left and he found out Afeni Shakur was not on board. Jada Pickett Smith was never contacted by LT Hutton or handed the script to approve. Originally, Jada was in the talks of being consulted when John Singleton was there but before it could get there LT Hutton shut it down by firing John Singleton and going his own route. Now we all know if Tupac was alive Jada would have at least read it.... SWIPE
:francis:Yup, fukk this movie. I'll illegally download and watch when the e-streets get fed.
:gurl:Guuuuurlllll....

Episode 8
Pac in Jail, word of shooting reaches him, all of NY shytting on him, Pacs jailhouse interview, the thoughts and emotions running thru his mind, Pac at his lowest, MATW makes him a breakout star

Episode 9
Suge bails Pac out, the AEOM era, Pacs incredibly work ethic, recording the classic album, Madonna, Versace,

Episode 10

Episode 12
The darkness of his last days,....the recording of Makaveli as his last will and testament...this would be a dark sinister visual...deep into Pacs emotions...culminating with the shooting in Vegas, and the week after

I give it a 5.5-6/10 for being an entertaining brief review of my favorite rapper's life.
Shipp did his thing, couldn't have gotten anything closer.
Shock G was on point.
Points off for Afeni's actress' exaggerated acting, the Snoop dub, old people playing their own younger selves and skipping quickly through his life.
fukk you dead srs
Her name is Danai Gurira, come up from under that rock you living under bro

nikkas acting like they've never seen The Walking Dead

I'm sure she's a intelligent, talented woman.

I'm not trying to shyt on her.

I just thought her version of Afeni was a lil over the top

Like you said.....Maybe it wasn't her fault.

Seems like the whole film confused anger for passion

Has the simplistic/amateurish fingerprints of Benny Boom/LT Hutton.

Should've known they wouldn't be able to capture the otherworldly level of

spirituality/intellect that woman possessed. She was quite the charismatic speaker, to.

Pac got it from somewhere. All I saw in this movie was uncontrollable rage and bugged eyes
It's an entirely their fault, if you took the time to watch the interview you'd know that she's a very intelligent woman and did extensive research on Afeni. Heck if you watch any of her interviews, you'd know she just as intelligent and charismatic as Afeni if not more so. Her interview with Steve Colbert is a perfect example of probably what you wanted for Afeni. You should check it out.

I saw passion more than anger, she can't control the lines. More intelligent lines would have made that come off way differently but Benny Boom and co knows their audience and Black people from the hood would not have tolerated Danai's midwestern White Woman accent speaking about things they couldn't comprehend.

I will say that Danai's not actually a Black American woman. She was born in a middle class family in Iowa to Zimbabwean professors but was raised primarily in Zimbabwe before going to college in the U.S. She only interacts with other Africans like Lupita or White people so I wouldn't be surprised if she has stereotypical views on how a Black woman from the hood speaks or acts

Like I've already said, she's never acted like this in a film before so I place all of the blame on Benny Boom. I would never believe this was the same woman who gave a beautiful, subtle performance as a timid African woman in Mother of George or gave one of the most realistic performances of a badass woman as Michonne on the Walking Dead.

I won't be surprised when her performance in Black Panther next feb. is no where close to Afeni.

I still say she's the only person coming out of this with a major career when it's all said and done.

I've Never watched a single episode.
I read the comics' first 12 issues nearly 12 years ago, so shut your fake ass condescending trap.
She was terrible anyway.
