This was something that stood out to me in the article in addition to the headline. Glad they are at least trying to get some things moving for post January 20th.

I'm very dubious about Mitch cosigning impeachment.

He's trying to set up a play where by 2022 the Rethuglicans can distance themselves from Trump just like they retconned the Bush 43 era.

Party is going to be fractured after this. Don't think it'll affect Mitch much given he just won reelection and won't be on a ballot again until 2026, but those on the ballot in 2022 have to gear up to be possibly primaried from the right.
