Relationships in the office aren’t barred but it’s sort of frowned upon because it can get messy. But there’s no reason that it causes a conflict of interest in the context of a case - maybe in the context of someone’s career prospects. There are professional rules that disfavor sleeping with clients but not messing with coworkers is more of a common sense thing. It’s also not something everyone follows and it’s just kept on the low.

I’m pretty sure my decade of practice gives me a better perspective than TheColi LLP. People hook up at every job, messing around in the office isn’t something anyone does out in the open and will have people looking at you sideways come annual review time even if they don’t say it.
