Simple. American Greed. He wanted the spotlight. The 80's were so much about wealth while Reagan was in office. But as light has shed, this Millionaire for all of his life played the biggest Ponzi scheme or whatever scheme you can call it, under the pretense he was a Billionaire. Pages back on this thread or in another Trump thread in the Higher Learning, there was that classic quote where Bloomberg and Trump were in the same room.

Billionaires, they knew who was who. They could easily see the hollow nature of Trump, he was the Millionaire who wanted to be a Billionaire. The only reason why Trump got so much attention was because he played the Media into hyping his image.
Eventually like all liars, eventually all their lies end up coming back to haunt them... and it puts them in the a corner. Now people are truly seeing Trump for the first time, the Non-MAGAs, about how Trump really worked. He was a clout chaser, nothing more, nothing less.
