Tough to follow up those performances from McConaughey/Harrelson as well as Fukunaga's singular direction. Second season was rushed, and while they tried going back to what worked in the third season, the writing just wasn't on that level.

Yea underrated aspect of S1 success...Woody & Matt are real life good friends which made their onscreen chemistry top notch. Also McConaughey was on the run of his career coming off of Dallas Buyer's Club and then doing this.
