just watched both top guns lol. The first one didn’t age well. I’m sure if I saw it in 1986 I would have liked it.
The new one was everything the 1986 one should have been. It was like they just remade the movie with new technology. It was a solid action flick. I’m sure it was great to see in Imax 3D or 4dx.

The intro is like shot for shot and song for song with the original. It's cool to compare the direction of Kosinski to Tony Scott, who was my favorite Director. Kosinski's intro was a lot more dynamic with more frequent cutting than Tony's. That's modern editing tho.
