The USOPC is the only national Olympic committee in the world that doesn't receive ANY funds from its respective government. What American athletes have been consistently doing at the Olympics is incredible.

Turkey, Greece and Italy have thriving professional leagues.

Women’s Volleyball really should be more popular in the US, for all the reasons mentioned earlier
