That was heartbreaking for the American, came an inch short of a medal while leaving 6+ inches on the board.

Basically they suck at the baton handoff, they didn’t put the right sprinters in the right position - you usually want to have your fastest person 4th, your 2nd and 3rd fastest in legs 1 & 2...
Edit: there are other considerations as well such as do you have a 200 runner? Well you might put them on a curve since they’re used to running turns, etc.

He’s talking about passing the batons. The US ain’t good at it and they fukked it up again tonight. Also they had guys running out of position. You don’t have to put your fastest last you could put them 2nd or 3rd because they spend the most time with the baton

Let Carl Lewis coach the USA track team. Pretty sure he was coach at UH the one year I attended there. I’m also pretty sure he’d be better than whatever we have going on right now. 
some say its actually better to put your fastest person in the 2nd or third the back straight and second bend because the anchor has a running start and is going straight.
However today the US had a slow ass anchor and they should have hid him first or second.
