The USA did well in shooting at these Olympics. 6 medals total (3 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze).

So far that's the 2nd most medal collection for the USA after swimming. Once again, American track athletes are failing right now.

The only thing cacs with guns are good for. Winning Olympic medals.

Regarding the track there are a number of factors for the drop off. Many you could deem as excuses but do have merit to them if you have an open mind to the reasoning. Montreal only paid off 1976 within the last decade or so.

Athens/Greece which was already having financial difficulty at the time and could of done with the Olympic spending to be be made of better use for the country as a whole has never recovered. Add on top the various financial crisis since then. Greece is totally phucked.

It's not fake concern. It's legit criticism. Cities going into huge debt is a big reason why the IOC has changed the Olympic bidding process.

Now, the IOC prioritizes bids that have most if not all of the venues already built. Also, there has to be a plan for most of the venues to have the capability to be used by the local public after the Olympics.
