If there was any argument for having fewer teams in the tourney, it was that UCLA-SMU game. Both those teams were trash. Dumb play all around

The above the rim angle you can make a case that it was goaltending, but no way can you call it live like that. It was a wild shot, that was wide right. Bad call IMO.

What does "you can't call it live like that" mean? When should goaltending be called?
