SHE WOULDNT HAVE SEEN HERSELF
BECAUSE THEY HAD HER THINKING
SHE WAS SOME BLONDE HAIRED WOMAN
THE SAME WAY NEO
WAS AN OLD MAN AND SMITH
WAS A DIFFERENT PERSON ASWELL.

They were only hidden from other people. They saw themselves as themselves.

That’s why when she asked the kids if the Trinity character looked like her she sounded crazy.

Bug saw Neo as himself that’s how she broke through the Matrix.

Crazy thing is as bad as this movie is supposed to be, it still gets everyone talking and seems to be having a big impact in the sci-fi/film community

maybe that was by design

cause we all know no way matrix 4 was topping 1 or 2 and 3 was kinda trash by its own standards

I might have to rewatch the movie and judge it on a lower scale

but it definitely not wasting money seeing it in theaters :scust:

No Whammies!!
The Trinity we saw in the opening break out didn’t look like Moss but was really similar. When Moss saw the game, she said she looked like her but if it wasn’t an exact copy, she would have seen herself.

The videos were just the original code the Resistance had access to. Technically all the stuff we saw of the original movie breakout was just code.

You know, the more I think about this the more confused I get.
In the opening scenes, the Resistance members are in the "game" world, but they have to "break" out of it just like breaking out of the Matrix. BUT...since they are just actually playing a game while inside of the new Matrix, then why do they have to break out of it? If you die in the Matrix you die for real, but if you die in a game you don't die for real. So, unless Neo's game is so real that it kills you, there should be no reason for the Resistance members to worry about anything that happens inside of a game. The "agents" inside the game are not real agents, they're just NPCs. They should be able to just quit the game like any other Matrix inhabitant would be able to do.

Yeah, can’t get through this one. :francis:

As much as I thought the two sequels to the original was unnecessary they still introduced a cool idea or concept into the canon at the very least. Not only that but the matrix has always been known for its off the wall visual effects or fight choreography. I feel like the worst offense this movie committed is just not even being entertaining enough with action. Everything was so bog standard hollywood action movie.

They didn’t try and be inventive at all with any of it. So many parodies were made from the first matrix movie, like the mid air crane kick, the bullet time dodge, the jumping off the building, Neo stopping the bullets, the Morpheus fight..etc etc

They couldn’t even give us one iconic scene to meme. Hollywood running off fumes with the nostalgia juice

The biggest reason this franchise never hit the highs of the first movie is because the first movie is all about building myth and legend and all the sequels are about deconstructing the importance of everything first movie championed.

The first movie is the journey to those two moments.

The sequels actively tell us those two moments don't mean shyt because it's happened 7 times prior and becoming The One isn't really breaking free it's just the next step in an already predetermined set of steps. A few early reviews said this is The Last Jedi of the Matrix franchise but that's not true. Reloaded was The Last Jedi. That was the movie that deaded the legend and removed myth from the franchise. Revolutions and Resurrections is where you end up when you continue making stories after deading the mythology.

The Matrix is a timeless classic. Matrix Resurrections is just another action movie.

The movie is so meta and 4th wall breaking. The reason it seemed like a self depreciating movie is because I just seen a theory that Thomas Anderson working for Deus Ex Machina = The Wachoski’s e.g being forced to make the game at WB behest.

Yeah my main criticism for the sequels is by the end of the trilogy you basically come to the same conclusion you end the first movie with. Neo is the One, he eventually goes on to free everyone of the matrix.

They pretty much spend the next two movies saying the same thing only stretched out over 5 more hours.

This new movie just felt like they were saying, “hey wasn’t the first matrix cool, Want to see it again?”

YOURE UNFAMILIAR WITH THE MATRIX?

THIS HAS BEEN THE CASE
IN EVERY MOVIE.

Yeah I meant to add that the cast for this movie seemed more diverse than the entire trilogy combined. It seemed deliberate this time, which is interesting

Just going through some more reviews and I was very surprised how poor the fight scenes were. There weren’t too many that were memorable and they just seemed to be generic.

Soundtrsck/music themes were pretty poor too. Didn’t really have any thumping dramatic sound track all though I noticed the OG matrix sound track during the fight with Smith and Neo.

Also whatever camera they shot it with (I know it was a RED setup). It looked a little too live. Almost like Gemini Man, which to me makes the film to be a bit too realistic and takes me away from the ambiance
