It wasn't even the same....it look like something someone could do at home

Bullet time looked completely ridiculous.

I couldn't believe that they actually regressed with the cgi and effects when at one time the Matrix was considered groundbreaking in this regard.

This movie felt very cheaply made.

I moreso like the story. Kinda feel like they half assed it though. A bigger budget and more action could've made this more epic than the last 2 but women are not good directors like men.

:pachaha:

This is why I actually give it somewhat of a pass.

The wachowski brother is now a wachowski sister and obviously suffering from mental illness. He did the best he could do, and honestly exceeded my expectations of what a mentally ill person could produce :ehh:

Movie was trash

In the beginning when the matrix trilogy video game developers were talking about how they were forced to do a new video game because Warner bros were making them do it, I felt this movies writers of this movie were basically telling the audience they didn't even want to make this stupid ass movie
That part was wild. Even told Neo they would do the shyt without him too :mjlol:

you missed all the binary / non-binary talk?
Binary was a reference to language in coding that is made of nothing but 1’s and 0’s. That’s where the name Io came from.

Btw, I had to force myself to finish this movie. The second the credits rolled I flipped it off like it was the end of my shift.

I think they should have had somebody new, who is not so close to the original movies, make the movie. It desperately needed a fresh perspective. How can somebody who never saw the original trilogy even follow along with what was happening.

Just watched, I didn’t hate it.

I’m not gonna rag on the love story angle since that angle was present since the first movie. I will rag on the Oneship being shared and how powerful they just had to make Trinity compared to Neo. Also didn’t like how it was practically a copy of most of the themes in the first movie. It came across as a nostalgia piece same problem I had with the Coming to America sequel.

They setting this up as a trilogy I presume so I’ll see what they got cooking for the next episode.

Brehs what is this Asian girl saying in the first 20 minutes of the movie :gucci:

do I need to turn subtitles on :leostare:

feeling like this movie might be trash already :snoop:

I’m on my phone already so it most likely will be :whoo:
There was a spot where it felt like she said an entire paragraph in 5 seconds. I rewinded it to hear what she said again, but just couldn’t catch it.

So basically this movie spent the entire running time doing the red pill, blue pill shyt that was basically just the introduction in the very first movie.
First movie spent 15 minutes getting Neo out of the simulation and into the real world.
this spent the first half doing the same thing, then the second half doing it again for trinity.
Made an entire movie out of the first 15 minutes of the original movie

Yea that’s a good comparison except we knew what we were getting into with Coming to America sequel

I’m sure most of us expected a entire new story with this new matrix and something more creative than a “video game” storyline :snoop:

I still don’t get what “video game” people were playing. :beli:

I don’t think this movie survived off nostalgia alone unlike coming to America sequel which still was a feel good movie regardless how good or bad it actually was
