Just watched. Gonna give my thoughts randomly as they come to me cause it's late and I have neither the time nor the will to write a full review tonight.
I didn't really like the concept of the Oneship being shared between Neo and Trinity. I felt they threw that in there for women empowerment and all that good stuff.
But I could have gone along with it if they explained the why behind it.
It was an easy way to explain since in Reloaded, the Architect tells Neo that the machines gave him his power.
All they had to say in this new movie is that when they rebuilt Trinity, the new architect gave her the powers she had.
Instead they halfway through the original trilogy into the bushes by insinuating that Neos power was coming from him being with her.
Well if thats the case, Morpheus (the original, not the goofy new guy) never had to find Neo since apparently Trinity was a One.
Speaking of the new Morpheus... I made a comment a few months back that I was really glad Will Smith turned down the role of Neo when it was offered to him because knowing Will, he would have started making jokes about being black
"You telling me a brotha gon dodge bullets? Man I'm black, police already trying to shoot me for no reason, YOU go dodge the bullets"
And that would have took me out the movie.
Lo and behold, that's what the new Morpheus does, talking about the "crib" and whatever other goofy stuff he was talking about.
With this being said, I went in expecting this to be a complete $#!$show of a movie. And I have to say it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be.
It wasn't excellent but it definitely could have been a lot worse.
