You make it sound like…Disneyland

They have a streaming service. The last movie is polarizing at best. And having the name Wachowski attached to Matrix ain’t going to print money. I doubt Keanu or Moss come back without the sisters.

So all they have is the IP and can find someone who wants to deliver a more traditional Matrix story for fans.

What exactly excludes them from making a long form story not about Trinity/Neo?

Just seems 1 and done :stopitslime::hhh:

I agree that’s what the sisters want.

But the Suits pattern recently backs me up… not you

Terminator went to tv and back to movies.
Star Wars went to tv
Chucky went to tv and movies simultaneously
Scream went to tv.

meh :mjgrin::mjlol:

There was no sense of urgency. Nothing, other then people being too self absorbed, seemed like it was a reason for thus movie to be made. I'm going to watch it again, but other then NEO having a midlife crises, what was the movie about? What was the problem? Maybe I was too stoned...

Haven’t read the comments yet, but just finished this. It wasn’t a bad movie at all, but I realized right near the end that I really don’t understand what the stakes really were (outside of the basic nature of what the Matrix is). Movie just seems like it was missing something.
It was basically the same stakes of the first movie. Figure out who you are and save your friends.

In this one he knew who he was but was being kept from being him and save Trinity

In the wake of a machine war, Trinity and Neo were brought back to life to power a new version of the Matrix.

He wanted out.

nikka in here bytch about neos hair style lol

How bout we find out one detail about the story before we start nitpicking on nikkas hair :dead:

The coli never fails to fail spectacularly

Grown nikka in here crying bout hairstyle like it’ll take away from the film, no on forces these nikkas to watch it:russ::yeshrug:

A whole page complaining about Keanus hair? :what:
Nah, this movie looks like a dub. At the very least we're getting a superhero movie that isn't DC or a Marvel film and they can take risks because of that.

I mean, we have no idea how and when Neo even gets brought back or if this is even the Neo we know.

:what:nikka drop it already

This nikka is really bothered by Neo’s hair :russ:

Don't worry about Neo's hair

Just watched. Gonna give my thoughts randomly as they come to me cause it's late and I have neither the time nor the will to write a full review tonight.

I didn't really like the concept of the Oneship being shared between Neo and Trinity. I felt they threw that in there for women empowerment and all that good stuff.

But I could have gone along with it if they explained the why behind it.

It was an easy way to explain since in Reloaded, the Architect tells Neo that the machines gave him his power.

All they had to say in this new movie is that when they rebuilt Trinity, the new architect gave her the powers she had.

Instead they halfway through the original trilogy into the bushes by insinuating that Neos power was coming from him being with her.

Well if thats the case, Morpheus (the original, not the goofy new guy) never had to find Neo since apparently Trinity was a One.

Speaking of the new Morpheus... I made a comment a few months back that I was really glad Will Smith turned down the role of Neo when it was offered to him because knowing Will, he would have started making jokes about being black

"You telling me a brotha gon dodge bullets? Man I'm black, police already trying to shoot me for no reason, YOU go dodge the bullets"

And that would have took me out the movie.

Lo and behold, that's what the new Morpheus does, talking about the "crib" and whatever other goofy stuff he was talking about.

With this being said, I went in expecting this to be a complete $#!$show of a movie. And I have to say it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be.

It wasn't excellent but it definitely could have been a lot worse.
