she’s a machine ?
she said something bout her father … forgive me, if i missing something - i actually should’ve watch the original before watching this to refresh my memory

:mjlol::mjlol::mjlol: dude she was introduced in the very beginning part 3 when neo was in the coma. she (sati) was the product of two machines having a child... and neo and her father was having a discussion on love and parenthood and human emotions... it was rather eye opening...:ehh:

This wasn't a serious movie, or a serious attempt at making a Matrix movie. This was an elaborate, expensive troll job to the studio, Hollywood, die hard fans etc. For what it is, it's kinda brilliant, but also selfish on the director's part for using the franchise to make some type of statement.

Could've just created your own parody film and give this to a more serious young director...or better yet, not bother doing it all and wasting our time (and money) :francis:

I was thinking this was a parody movie for the first hour in :patrice:

I just talked to my brother who is a super sci-fi movie/matrix fan

he said he only made it an hour in and turned it off

first question he asked me “did you actually finish it?” :mjtf:

I still don’t get how Neo created a “video game” that looks exactly like the old movies :what:

I actually liked the first half of the movie. But real talk, movies don't move me like they use to. They come and go. I was 12 when the first Matrix came out and I watched the shyt out of that movie on cable. And went to the theater to watch Reloaded and was bugged out during the part of the architect.

To me, that was actually the most non-sensical part.
"Morpheus" was a character from "Tom Anderson's" video game, yet he was exactly as powerful as the other synthetic being in the real world. What that means is that Tom Anderson, supposedly living in a world with technology similar to our own world, actually created his own Matrix containing characters equal to the "real" Matrix.

Yet...in the gardening scene in IO we're shown that the Matrix is SO detailed that you can use the DNA information from the plants in the Matrix to clone REAL strawberries in the REAL world.
So, that would mean that Tom Anderson's programming was at a God-like level where he could basically create his own Universe down to the DNA Level...yet he's using it to create an Action MMO Game?

I saw it and it wasn't terrible as far as modern movies go

I was reading reddit and someone described it as fun and that was my issue with it

Tone felt different than anything that came before

Not dark at all

They have interesting concepts but don't do much with them, which is usual for the Matrix

The sequel meta convo was interesting, but after it finished I'm left hoping this era will go down as one of the worst for movies

It is a parody...at least the first 45 minutes that I watched before cutting it off. The more I think of it, Wachowski fukked up by not making a separate parody film with the same themes spoofing the big studios and Hollywood culture. Probably could've won some awards if done right...instead you have this mess that confuses people and worsens your reputation.

Haven’t watched Revolutions in full since 2003 (thought it was awful) but this scene is bonkers

Not gonna comment on Resurrections (haven’t seen it yet) but I dont expect any of the action to look like that based on the reviews

The movie isn't even as pretty

Idk why

I don’t even know where to start. There’s so many levels on why nothing makes sense

but i figure anything can be explained away if you try hard enough

I just wanna know what the video game looks like and how people actually played it

was it some type “virtual reality” rpg game?

was it basically a sims equivalent or some ready player one type deal?

maybe I missed it. Did they actually show the video game or just old clips from movies?
