maybe i'm taking it too seriously. maybe this was lana airing out her grievances about the hollywood machine. maybe this was her therapy.
but what the fukk was that....the allegory, the "meta" references, the dialogue, the acting...what the fukking hell was that?
what the fukk were the stakes? at no point did i think "oh shyt, this person died. how will the characters respond?"
why did neo...not once, at all, use a gun? seriously, go to any fight scene, he used zero guns...at all. the guy from the john wick films didnt use guns.
what the fukk was bugs? so she's a stand in for trinity and, as if to push your face into pie made of the script, they literally show you how she's a stand in.
"bugs?...as in bunny?"
"what's up, doc? how's she doing?"
that's a theme throughout the whole film. it's insulting the audience's intelligence while pretending to be facetious. so who the fukk is the film for? is it for the fans that you know for certain will hate it because they know the lore? or is it for the new comers who you're making this for while simultaneously insulting their intelligence?
i watched this for free and i need a refund. fukk WB. the execs that greenlit this and forced this script should kill themselves. for real.

he was god status in the 2nd film and still kept a 9 on his side. that's what i meant by how the fans wouldnt like it. the cannon is inconsistent
End of the day, male wachowskis make better films than their female counterparts/transitions

Yeah he hasn't used a gun since the subway fight in the first movie. Closest he came to using a gun was when Smith was holding Trinity at knife point in Revolutions and he had the sentinel killer gun but he dropped it before he ever actually shot it.

Yikes, only half way through but this might be the most forgettable movie of all time. They should have just turned one of those animatrix shorts into a live action feature. The second renaissance would be amazing. Didn’t need a rehash of this.
