Wanted to turn it off during the first part when Neo was "in" the Matrix, movie straight up felt like it was being spiteful to it's fanbase ........it got a bit better towards the middle and end but it's pretty much a worse version of everything we seen in the first 3. I did like the idea of them being stronger versions of themselves together but man the fight choreography was bad and the cgi was all over the place. I'm guessing rona fukked w a lot of the training for this but yeah we didn't need this joint at all. Told my son we'll watch the trilogy this weekend to cleanse the pallet from this.

Only redeeming factor in this movie oh and the machines going to war with one another seems like a cool concept, but the rest of this movie is garbage.

I really don’t think the themes in the movie went over anybody’s head the as main focal points are about as subtle as a hammer to the head. If anything I feel like they spoon feed you even more than the previous ones. I’m positive towards the flick but I can definitely see why the masses aren’t fukking with it.

Nikkas didn't miss the themes the problem is its too up it's own ass. Being meta and self referential is damn near common these days. The movie ain't as special as it presents itself to be. It's two and a half hours of Fredo screaming "I'M SMART"

The invoking of Alice In Wonderland is almost poetic justice. Nikkas try to put all this deep shyt on that book when the author intentionally made a ridiculous story to make fun of pretentious people

Ultimately this is a waaaaaay too pretentious Deadpool and proof that Lana Wachowskis hates that the Matrix is revered for its action more than it's themes

Fukkin Wandavision does a way better job of being meta and self referential than this bullshyt

That wasn’t what I was expecting at all. I like it but I’m not sure how much I like it. Love the ideas and how they played with expectations and the obvious commentary on society and our obsession with nostalgia. I appreciate how different it is from what came before it but fits right in.

Lana said there won’t be a fifth one buuuut I have a feeling her WB overlords are going to disagree lol. But this is a good wrap up point even tho she clearly left an opening for more.

I gotta see it again or keep thinking about it but it’s the most interesting movie I’ve seen all year and in quite some time.

Outside of the machine city/IO this didn’t look or feel like a matrix film. Where is the style? The flair? The green hue? The fight scenes were nothing special. The fights felt nothing like it did in other matrix films. Why?

this was a weird watch. I’ll check out the breakdowns because it is an interesting movie. It isn’t terrible. I’m just confused by what this movie is because it didn’t give me Matrix.

For starters... why would Neo at this point or any point passed the FIRST Matrix need a GUN? Also, that's a weird to complain about Trinity losing a family that not only ever REAL, but programmed to keep her controlled and enslaved? The fucck Stockholm Syndrome you was hoping for?

It's one thing if you say you disliked how it was film in terms of action despite it being an artistic decision by the director due to the circumstances of the setting. But to complain silly shyt of Neo force pushing which was necessary to evade bullets and attacks (despite him having actual fight scenes too). You asking for things that are pointless to be mad about.

He was more powerful in matrix 2 than matrix 4 and still had a gun. Even if the family is fake it was real to her to just get over it in seconds is nonsense. Neo had fight scenes? That one shytty encounter with Smith? Also a shytttt version of Smith. This movie is a mess.

Seems like they are upset that the Matrix fans didn't go out and watch the numerous financial flops they put out after the first 3 Matrix movies.. The spite towards the fanbase is unwarranted because no one asked for this sequel and the only reason it was made was because Keanu's career caught a second wind with the John Wick series. They could have sat back, produced it and put another director in charge, these mtuhafukkas are in their mid .50's still pretending to be corporate rebels, they need to be mad at themselves..
