From the reviews I've read so far seems like it's gonna be a love it or hate it movie.
I think people need to accept that The Matrix as a series was mostly just an excuse for cool action set pieces. The story isn't and never really was all that amazing and it was never going to go anywhere.

It's the reason Reloaded is my favorite of the series. Because that's the movie that just goes overboard with the action and insanity. These are popcorn flicks to me.

If you look back at The Matrix where the hell was the plot ever going to go? All the humans were stuck in pods in a ruined world living out fantasies in a virtual one. You think those people wanted to wake up out of those pods and eat goop wearing clothing that looks like rags? Mofos would have been like Cypher put me back in and make me forget.

From an action and set piece standpoint Revolutions sucked but from a plot and ending standpoint it was about the best we could ask for. From that perspective I wonder why this got made. The actual conclusion to the Matrix Revolutions was acceptable to me.

Koalabama and the Cosmos
:francis:I'm scared for this brehs. Like I know The Matrix is fire beyond the plot, but it just comes off as Groundhog Day with Binary Code.

I'll give it a chance but after Mortal Kombat, I just don't have the strength to have high expectations.

Reloaded was my least favorite :lupe:
How anyone could like Revolutions better than Reloaded is beyond me. The sequences of set pieces that beings here and hoes straight into the freeway chase is still the best chain of set pieces ever put to a Hollywood film.

I think what you said applies to the sequels which really didn't need to be made as the Matrix holds up perfectly as a standalone film.

The Matrix doesn't stand alone. If you take it as a single film it's unfinished because the ultimate conflict isnt solved. The problem is it presents a story that really couldn't go anywhere anyway. Cypher's attitude would have been much of humanity attitude.

The plot of the sequels of how Zion was an error processing routine and the architect oracle conflict using Neo and Smith to broker a truce was actually as good as could be asked for.

Really the last movie was so bad that it pulled Reloaded down with it. Still the issue remains this new movie is getting made in a series that has nowhere left to go. It's kinda like after Return of the Jedi Star Wars was finished but yet The Force Awakens happened to continue a story that already ended in a good place.

Disagree. The main conflict of the film was Neo accepting whether or not he was "The One." That arc was completed by the end of the film. Him saying at the end "I'm going to show them a world without rules" to me was better left to our imagination than the Wachowski's attempting to show what that would look like. Because it's pretty much inevitable that it would end up disappointing people, which it did. The first Matrix had a tight structure. The sequels are where things got unnecessarily convoluted and sloppy. Believe me, I was hyped af for the Matrix Reloaded as a teenager but looking back, the Matrix really didn't need a sequel and you could tell the Wachowski's were forcing things at that point.

one half of the wachowski sisters wont let us down :wow:
Treh director's sistras incoming fukkery afoot. Personally I stayed away from their work after the last matrix,. I thought the first 2 were dope, most fun I Had at the theater other than Blade 1 (was living in queens at the time and the green acres theater was lit as fukk when that tecno music hit and the blood started showering:dj2: :ahh:. I also think the Wachowski's swagger jacked Blade 1 added a lil anime+philosophy+and Jesus symbolism and bam shyt blew up.

Hopefully the Wachowski's regain some of the Magic they lost or chose to chop of:whoa:.

Going to the teather with a shorty I haven't seen in a while so if the movie sucks at least I get my thang sucked. Gon pull out the old classic pop corn bucket trick she love that shyt :banderas:
