I don't think Scorsese has lost a step tho. Shutter Island was really good too and was outside the box of what you'd expect from him. I think at worst this will be 'good'

Scorsese hangs around too many art fags & hipsters (the least creative people in the world) thats why he fell off. i went to one of his q&a's for Silence and the host said something like 'this is a deep film you must rewatch over the span of a year to fully understand it'. fuk that. Mean Streets was simple, to the point & was his best movie.

You're completely talking out of ya ass and sound like a moron. Scorsese has great movies spanning multiple decades. Mean Streets and Taxi Driver in the 70s, Raging Bull, King of Comedy and After Hours in the 80s, Goodfellas and Casino (plus Bringing out the Dead, underrated IMO) in the 90s, The Aviator and The Departed in the 00s, Hugo and Wolf this decade. Plus Silence was good, just a little different for him. Not many directors who can claim that kinda consistency for almost half a century.
