You can always tell whenever it's a Black production because of the lack of c00nery and the fact every Black person with a speaking role has a motivation you're fully aware of.

The Con is that the production design and maybe even the cinematography didnt quite match the level for a cast like this.

Then again the cast probably took lower sallary to make this movie happen.

Still its really good. I think it could have been great if had the same look and feel of the Denzel joint from a few years back. Probably would have been a classic.

Still really good. Just on the strength of the cast and willingness to give us something different like this.

I would prefer it. Magnificent Seven just had that more gripping look to it.

However, there's still ways to do it. I thought the Ballad of Buster Skruggs was shot pretty good and thats digital.

I went into this knowing absolutely nothing about it or who would be in it. I just saw a new cowboy movie with Idris Elba and thought it looked good. I was pleasantly surprised by the cast. I love westerns so this is exactly what i was looking for. 9/10

Just finished it. It was excellent. Really enjoyed it. Admittedly it did look a little too clean and slick. Almost like a Marvel movie in some parts. The best thing about it was the cast. They absolute all did their thing big time. Very impressed overall.

Unforgiven is a fukking masterpiece. The scene where Munny and the kid are on the hill and the latter slowly comes to realization he just took someone's life,is one of my favorite moments in cinema.

I love Tombstone, but it's more of a "Hollywood Blockbuster" type of western, if you catch my drift. Filled with great action, cool characters. I watch when I want to have a good time.

Not necessarily. There's plenty of colorists who could have made the look of the film be more grungier.
