Watched this again last night getting my homie caught up on the recent movies, NWH and MOM the only ones left to go.

But I still fukk with this more than either of those, lots of good discussion back and forth after it went off. I wish I knew how to pitch some ideas that I got from this to MS.

Ive never been convinced that an r rating made things better. Sure, there is more cussing but most ppl cussing like they in third grade. They don't even know proper syntax.

Finally watched this. Enjoyed it. Pretty solid as a stand-alone sci-fi film too.

Beautiful cinematography. The frozen Celestial at the end was dope. I think King woulda liked this take on his work.

Part 2 should be nice. Pip The Troll and Eros was a nice surprise.

Cersai. Liked her in the OG comic run and she was showcased here. I actually thought Jolie was gonna play her since she looked like the part. Jolie was cool as Thena tho.

As far as comic lore, Cersei and Ikkaris definitely have the most interesting stories for my money. In the film, I actually enjoyed Makkari the most, despite her limited screentime and gender swap. She was the most relatable because she reacted to events the way I think most people would.

Doesn't hurt that she's the best showcase of speed we've seen on film.

Mine was no doubt Druig. Not only did he have an interesting power and personality at first, the scene where he decided to go against the rest of the group and intervene in human affairs during the massacre of the Natives was gripping. At this point, I was totally immersed. Lowkey would have liked a story that would have revolved around him.

Still really like this movie. I need to rewatch it.

With an ability & lifespan like his, I think a lot of people would have taken his route and few of them with the good intentions Druig had. The very nature of his powers put him at a moral disadvantage, let's be real, that's a villain's dream power. Very interesting character.

if they take the criticism and course correct, it could be an incredible movie... will they though? probably not. Feige thought this shyt was art.
