So it read perfectly fine that he wouldn't want Ryan to get killed. Man's almost shed a tear when he blamed Ryan. Man's was coming over reading books and facetiming the kid. Wouldn't give him up no matter what Homelander threatened. If it wasn't for the Senator, Ryan wouldn't even have been there and that's only because of Butcher

ya this is another thing I see folks nitpicking about that shows they just simply weren’t paying attention and/or not capable of making a decent inference…butcher was not going to let anything happen to ryan…period…shyt is not debatable.

folks are harping on what they’d do instead of actually paying attention to the characters and some of their motivations

Nothing in the show alludes to this, might as well be making up fanfic breh. What we can FACTUALLY gather what was on screen is that neuman only cares about her daughter above all else. Thats it. Id love for you to pinpoint exactly where in the season it was shown she was anything other than ambivalent to the fukkery around her if it did not pertain to her seed. HL choked her out in the stable, now they partners

Writing for this season was lazy and most folks would agree with that. You in the minority, which is fine. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.

I agree it’s not a high end show just bcuz you didn’t pick up on certain things…that’s on you, not me…it’s one thing not to understand something and have questions but to use that to criticize the writing then double down on it when folks point out clues from the show that should clear up certain things is

Bruh, did you completely forget about her popping all those heads on behalf of Stan Edgar? Yes, she's for protecting her daughter, but she's out here murdering people. She popped the head of the agent who was helping Butcher's team, she head popped a bunch of politicians at the congressional hearing and she's threatened Starlight. She doesn't actually believe in enacting Progressive laws, her only similarity to AOC is her look. She is controlled opposition to the anti-Supe efforts in the government. Her pairing with Homelander means they control 'both sides'.

I don't want to insult you like the other guy, but you seriously need to rewatch.
