Yeah smart. If this was a case where Batman movies hadn't been made for awhile I could understand going for a more straight forward fit like Hoult or Hammer but since he has not left the screen for awhile you got to come different. Pattinson is that quirck plus you got the curiosity factor from the people who loved him in Twighlight.

It's not, there is no more DCEU. There films are all there own franchises, there is no plan for a culminating event anytime soon.

Loosely connected. Basically the movies are doing their own thing without being overly connected to a wider universe but if they were to ever do another Justice League movie then they have all the pieces. If they don't do another Justice League movie then it won't have any effect on the individual films. Plus this film takes place during Bruce's first couple of years as Batman so it's before Man of Steel.So is this connected to the DCCU?
