@MartyMcFly

You love Bond with such passion, I thought you would love this exercise in the genre, it's really just a Bond movie, with some time travel. As purely an exercise in style, I loved those parts of it. The tenders and yachts, the music, the airport scenes. I loved the rising action. The interplay between villain and the Bond character.
Bond movies, even the ones I don’t like, have some soul to them though. Some character. Some reason to care about the man or the villain or the woman or the stakes. Nolan essentially stomps that soul out of this movie and makes it all about the macguffin

That is such a cheap excuse. I don't give any film a pass for breaking internal rules. If Nolan wanted more 'free format' sci-fi he shouldn't have a bunch of characters lay down exact scientific rules.
To be fair, the characters ain’t really know what the heck was going.

I really liked it and enjoyed myself. Just me and my lady in the entire theater.

With anything or anyone who wins too much, they’re waiting for your humbling experience. All the hoopla about the characters being thin or this and that just want to dislike it and be against the grain.

The villain wants to blow up the world since he is dying early from cancer. He abuses his wife and guilt trips her about their son because she considered abandoning her to not be outed for buying a fake painting when it’s her career to know those things. The kicker is JDW (he refused to give his name or probably forgot it) put the entire film in motion and just forgot. JDW was never truly in any danger. He just forgot that he lived it before.

I didn’t care for the score and I would have preferred Hans. I wished Wally could have shot this and I like Hoyt but Wally just knows how to photograph Nolan’s visions better.

Meh. I’ve realized Nolan just doesn’t make movies I’m into anymore. This movie had all the stuff I do like about him (big action, big ideas, memorable action scenes and practical stunts) but also the stuff I don’t like about him (character? Who cares?! Exposition dialogue out the ass, and people I just don’t care about, and detachment) and he’s just not for me anymore.

He’s so wrapped up in the ideas of his movies and that initial premise that the characters are just pawns on the chessboard in service of that idea rather than figuring out how they can work in concert and servicing both. Understanding the movie wasn’t a problem for me, and yes I know he made the movie to be viewed multiple times, but I didn’t struggle with any of that. I just didn’t give a damn about anyone on screen minus a few moments here and there.

Big ole pile of meh
Sounds like a Nolan flick. I'll probably wait until it hits the streams and rivers.

I think this movie was intentionally designed for you to watch it multiple times.

He does that with all of his films.

I was confused as fukk with this one. The plot incoherence and the muffled dialogue didn't help. Honestly I felt like everyone was miscast, and I hate to say that because I want JDW to be a star, but I almost feel like Robert Pattinson should've been the protagonist.

This movie had the elements necessary to be an amazing film, they just assembled them in such a messy Picasso-like fashion with none of the aesthetic.

If you do as the woman in the beginning said and don't try to understand it, the movie is a B- for everything else it got correct.

First off, name a "POS" horror movie recently that you believe I saw lol

Secondly, horror is more entertaining than Nolan at this point:manny: You ask me if I'm watching Friday the 13th part 13 or Tenet 2...easy decision

oh thats right you only see A24 horror flicks. my bad. Gotta be high brow "elevated" horror or something the critics are busting nuts over:francis: I'm good. I'll take cult of Chucky, Halloween, Host, Revenge, and Mandy over this shyt any day of the week.
